​My client is looking for a PMO Manager to be responsible for managing the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and its continued development to ensure the team provides highly effective programme and project office services, including good practice guidance and standards, and effective assurance to support programme and project teams successfully delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manages the provision and development of portfolio wide management information reporting across the programmes and projects and ensure projects across the portfolio comply with the PMO standards and procedures.

• Providing insight to senior management to help make strategic decisions around project priorities, risk, issues, resource management and corrective action plans.

• To apply knowledge of Technical Project Management process and control in delivering IT sponsored projects to completion.

• To govern multiple technical work streams with-in University-wide Business and Technology change projects, so that the IT element delivers both the products and services they require.

Experience & Skills

• Experience of formal programme and project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 Agile and MSP or MoP

• Experience of working with an enterprise-wide systems delivery methodology in a programme/ project/ PMO role, and be able to mentor project teams and train new staff.

• Prince 2 Project Management Qualification at Practitioner level OR DSDM v2 Practitioner ITIL Qualified at Intermediate Level.

• Excellent knowledge Project Management Methodologies, including Benefit Realisation.
