The Client:

My client is a very prestigious organisation and a leader in its chosen field.

They are looking to recruit an individual to support the Head of Operational Risk with regards to ensuring the risk function is effective in its risk management oversight activities specifically for technology and change risk across the group and assist in the development of the groups risk management operating model.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Identification, assessment, quantification, monitoring and reporting of operational technology and change risks across the group
  • Monitor, review, analyse and produce risk management information from business information and operational risk tools
  • Conduct targeted risk assessments focusing on operational risks exposures, specifically IT and security risks and the internal control environment in place
  • Produce quality risk reports and risk management information for senior management and committees within the governance framework
  • Assist with the collection of risk events and loss data, root cause analysis and identification and monitoring of risk mitigation plans
  • Contribute to and carry out special projects / investigations as required
  • Support the development of risk management processes, including regular updates and maintenance of risk management policies and procedures

Key Requirements:   

  • Good understanding of risk management and control, in particular IT and change management processes
  • An understanding of current advances in information technology concerning vulnerabilities and security risk
  • Strong background, knowledge and experience in financial services
  • Commitment to developing knowledge and understanding of operational, technology and change risk management
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
