Operational Resilience Manager required for a leading lender, responsible for supporting the range of activities that make up the Group’s Operational Resilience Framework. The role is integral in ensuring that the Group’s operational resilience arrangements continue to develop and are implemented in a robust, prioritised and structured manner, providing transparency to the Group’s senior management team and Board.
Key responsibilities include:
Contribute to the on-going development and maintenance of the Operational Resilience Framework, ensuring a consistent approach and execution across all functions and locations.
Develop and maintain proactive engagement with a ‘community’ of business functional contacts. Collaborating across the business, to continually identify the operations, processes and technologies required in building and maintain optimal recovery plans/arrangements.
Advise and supporting business functions in completing annual Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and development of functional Business Continuity Plans (BCP). This includes the identification of Important Business Services and completion of resource mapping in line with regulatory guidance. Provide independent challenge to the assumptions of each 1st line business function.
Participate in the Group wide testing schedule designed to validate the Bank’s response to a range of threats and severe but plausible scenarios, including conducting desktop scenario exercises.
Provide support to management, as requested, when a disruptive incident and/or crisis occurs.
Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of a Group training and awareness programme.
Understanding the current and future regulatory demands and expectations and contribute to the framework that ensures the Group’s on-going compliance.
Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day-to-day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.
Detailed knowledge of operational resilience within financial services, including the application of the latest regulatory requirements, is essential
Minimum of 2 years’ detailed experience in managing Operational Resilience or Business Continuity (within the financial services industry) is essential.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the production of formal policy/procedural type documentation is desirable.
