​Job Description:

It is an exciting time for my client, their mortgage products are award winning and they are expanding the team so they are looking for a Mortgage Team Manager.

With excellent management & leadership skills, you will lead a team of mortgage advisors, underwriters and administrators and will have responsibility for process, quality, controls and colleague development whilst retaining your competence advise and underwrite.

Responsibilities

•Lead, manage, and motivate the Societies mortgage team with a focus on alignment to mission, high standards, quality, customer service, controls and change delivery

• Responsibility for ensuring all activity is conducted in accordance with the appropriate controls. Support delivery of the operational risk framework and embed a culture of risk management.

•Articulating and assessing risk when lending decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the Society’s reputation and mission

Knowledge and skills

•Supervisory Experience of working in a regulated environment is essential preferably in financial services • Coaching/mentoring experience

•The ability to make viable decisions whilst working under pressure

•CeMAP or /CeMAP Diploma desirable

• Detailed knowledge of mortgage and mortgage related products

•You will have a strong understanding of Conduct, Credit and Operational risk requirements.

•Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations including PRA, FCA, MCOB and Consumer Credit,

•Knowledge and understanding of financial services policies

Good knowledge of excel and database skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
