MERJE are partnered with a growing Wealth Management business based in Lancashire that are looking for a Management Accountant to join their established Finance team.
The position will be office based (Chorley) for the first 6 months. After which time some flexible / homeworking can be accommodated.
Role Description:
The successful candidate will support the Senior Management Accountant and act as the point of contact for all accounts related queries with the wider Accounts team.
The role requires a driven and reliable individual who has the ability to manage and prioritise workload. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational and time management skills, and experience in working successfully in a fast-paced environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
The key duties of the role are listed below. Due to the nature of the business, the role may also include additional responsibilities considered reasonable:
Intercompany accounting procedures including management of the intercompany matrix and group recharges
Ownership of accounts payable processes – processing of purchase invoices and staff expenses, management of accruals and prepayments, and preparation of documentation for payment runs
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
Review of sales income reconciliation and posting monthly journals
Payroll support
Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
Online Banking – setting up payments and preparation of expenses payment via WebExpenses
Year-end adjustments and audit support
Review and management of the P&L for your assigned subsidiaries
Assist the Senior Management Accountant with ad-hoc reports and analysis when required
Work with M&A team to embed new acquisition to existing subsidiaries

ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) part-qualified
Excellent MS Excel knowledge
Experience of working as part of a team
Flexibility/adaptability to cope with change
Confident with Microsoft Office and Teams
The ability to work to tight deadlines
Desirable but not required:
Experience of using NetSuite and WebExpenses
Previously worked in Financial Services
