The Lead Credit Risk Specialist is a key role within the Operations Management team, ensuring that there is a fit for purpose Credit Risk policy in place aligned to the firm’s risk appetite & OKRs.
The primary role of the Lead Credit Risk Specialist is to work with Commercial, Finance & 3rd party agencies to build, develop & maintain the Credit Risk policy rules in line with market conditions & the firms risk appetite specifically in relation to EBITDA/ Bad debt losses.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop the credit risk strategy for a multiproduct cross industry customer portfolio working with key 3rd party suppliers within Credit industry.
Accountable for the creation and maintenance of the credit risk policy, final sign off the Director of Operations.
Work with the wider Debt Recovery, Onboarding & Accounts Receivable Heads of Department to ensure process & policy are designed & developed to support the credit risk policy.
To build, develop & maintain the Credit Risk strategy & models working closely with Data & Insights Director & key industry 3rd party suppliers.
Provide regular updates on the development & implications
Experience:
Previous experience in a Senior Credit Risk role, with accountability for the design and deliver of Credit Risk policy is essential.
Experience working within a complex business i.e. multiproduct
Demonstrable experience of working directly with C suite execs
Ability to analyse large data sets and provide exec level summaries.
Experience of designing/amending credit score cards with demonstrable evidence of success in improving portfolio health / bad debt losses
Previous use of SQL/Relational databases.
Advanced Excel ability.
