The IT Operations Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day IT operation through the review, development and implementation of policies and procedures. They will have attention to detail, be highly organised, and methodical. This is a new role within the Business and therefore creates a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hire to shape how they standardise the delivery of IT services in line with best practice, leveraging the ITIL framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing recommendations to IT Security posture including practices and controls following assessments and reviews
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to create a standard way of operating in line with best practice
  • Reviewing and managing SLAs and OLAs, including defining and implementation where required
  • Building and roll-out of critical processes including (but not limited to) BCP, DR, and broader incident management
  • Proactively manage relevant items on the risk register including mitigation planning and resolution
  • Vendor management of 1st Line IT Support provider including SLAs, kit procurement and asset register
  • Embedding rhythms and routines to ensure that IT Service meets Business needs
  • Managing projects as required through business need, or identified through a continuous improvement lens

The Person:

  • Knowledge of ITLL Frameworks
  • An understanding of IT security and Cyber security practices
  • Experience in definition, development and implementation of IT policies and processes
  • Management of 3rd party provider/s
  • Competence in defining and tracking of SLAs and OLAs
  • Experience in successfully delivering IT operational projects
