My client is a market leader in their chosen field. Since its founding, a combination of organic growth and acquisitions have played a major part in the company’s progression to its current standing in today’s market.

As part of this exciting evolution, the organisation is now looking to appoint an IT Operational Risk & Control manager to undertake this key role.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Overseeing the application of operational risk policies, technology, tools and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing technology risk exposure, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.

  • Independently assessing risks and driving actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to technology risk by challenging both historical and proposed practices.

  • Liaising and working with the Group Risk function, aligning with their processes and reporting and contributing to the Corporate Risk Register, Key Risk Measures etc.

  • Being the driving force behind IT Operational Risk and Control within the IT Department

Key Requirements;

  • Experience in working in a Risk Management / Analysis role

  • Experience of implementing Risk Management, Audit, and Control policies and processes

  • Influential relationship management skills with stakeholders and colleagues in pursuit of delivering a well utilised robust Risk Management process

  • The ability to influence other colleagues, teams and department heads to effectively embed Risk Management processes

  • Strong analytical skills, able to make sense of complex sets of data, analyse and report on for different audiences

  • Flexible approach to work with a focus on delivery to deadlines and high standards

  • Collaborative working with corporate Risk and Audit teams

  • Strong Excel skills and experience of dealing with complex formulae

The role will initially be home based but once the company allows people back into the office there would be an expectation to be in the office for up to 3 days a week. Salary is commensurate with experience and will also include benefits and a bonus potential
