​ My client is a highly entrepreneurial owner managed business that has demonstrated excellent growth over recent years. As part of this growth they require an experienced Financial Controller on an initial interim basis to support the CFO with a view to stepping into an FD role.

Operating as a number 2 you will take full day to day responsibility for the finance function, leading a small team with a hands on approach.

Key responsibilities including:

•Cash management and forecasting

•Manage and support the Accounts Manager in their responsibilities

•Preparation of monthly management accounts for all entities

•Preparation of the monthly Group consolidation

•Quarterly forecasting for the Group

•Management of year-end audit process

•Preparation of statutory accounts and submission of tax returns

•Preparation of internal and external Management Information packs

•Compliance with all tax payment deadlines and statutory reporting requirements

•Management of the payroll function

Being a qualified accountant you will be comfortable operating within an Owner Managed business, with an adaptable approach, working within a changing environment. Whilst being technically strong you will also have a commercial approach, ensuring effective financial controls are in place whilst also having an understanding of the detail behind the numbers.

This will be initially a 6 Month FTC with potential to become permanent if desired.
