Our client is a leading online retailer and one of the largest online unsecured credit providers in the UK.   They are currently looking to recruit 3 individuals on a contract basis to work as part of the Data Protection office.  This would be for an initial 3 months with an option to extend. They would also consider bringing people in on a fixed term basis with an option to go permanent assuming individuals were interested in this option.

Candidates need to be immediately or almost immediately available with them looking to fill all roles by the end of February ideally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • They are looking for a Senior manager who will report to the DPO and be responsible for implementing the DPO function, including providing detailed requirements to the project team. They will also be responsible for the execution of BAU roles to manage the DPIA process, oversight and reporting of potential Data Breaches and rollout business healthchecks for data risks, including coaching staff across the organisation on reviews and assessments of data processes, risks and controls.
  • They are also recruiting someone to work alongside the Senior Manager to help implement the DPO function and provide detailed requirements to the project team.
  • They are also recruiting a Data Protection SME to provide expert input to and drafting of documentation, tolls, process and training materials to support the implementation of GDPR.

They are willing to pay day rates that will be commensurate with experience and reflect the significance of the roles. The range is broad as they are keen to get a feel for all options in order that they can recruit the right people.
