Job Description:                               This role sits in Group Risk & Compliance responsible for oversight of the Business Unit risk and compliance programmes via a business partner model. The focus of this role will be the Head Office (Finance, HR, Legal) and IT functions.  The company is a Plc business, focusing on B2C and Financial Services. 

Key responsibilities include:

• This person will be the key point of contact across the Plc business, providing technical input and expertise, interpreting compliance regulations and relating this in a pragmatic manner to the business activities in relation to Head Office functions
• Provide technical strategic advice to the business to ensure sufficient controls and efficient processes are in place
• Work with the Policy team on horizon scanning and monitoring internal controls and policies against new regulations
• Build strong and effective relationships across the business to promote a positive image of Risk and Compliance
• Deliver the business facing related elements of the Group Risk and Compliance plan
• Compliance reporting
• Business engaging activities to effect a robust compliance & risk framework which enables the business to see continued success and growth

The Person

• Experience of working in a control function in an FCA regulated firm
• Proven experience of working directly with Senior Leadership with strong communication and influencing skills
• Working knowledge of IT Risk
• Analytical & numerate with strong reporting skills to produce quality MI, reports to identify strategic and operational goals
• High energy to manage a complex workload, working on multiple projects at any time
• Excellent relationship building skills
