Our Client is a well-known and very reputable Financial Services business. They are currently recruiting an innovative individual to provide advice and support to stakeholders and manage a small team to ensure that risk and issues across the Data and Technology teams across the group are appropriately identified and managed.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management:
Engage with stakeholders on BAU activities and strategic initiatives across the Data and Technology teams.
Lead and oversee the management of internal controls across the Group, with support from the Risk & Compliance Advisory team. Provide regular reporting on progress to the Risk and Audit Committees.
Support the CRO in embedding an effective risk management culture across the Group, so that risk becomes a natural part of decision-making.
Data Protection
Oversee the embedding of policies for the identification and management of Data Protection requirements across the Group
Oversee the embedding of the Data Protection and Data Security high level requirements and standards that the Group will adhere to
Key Attributes:
An excellent understanding of a range of risk management frameworks (including but not limited to operational, conduct, financial, data protection and information security).
Strong technical background of FCA regulatory requirements across Risk Management and ICO regulatory requirements.
A good understanding of Business Continuity Management.
An awareness of emerging UK and European legislation, codes of practice and industry guidelines affecting the business.
The role could be based in either London or Manchester and the client is adopting a hybrid working approach which is likely to involve a mixture of office (3 days) and home (2 days) based working. Salary is entirely commensurate with experience but will reflect the significance of the role.
