My client is looking for a Head of Sales to be accountable for the sales performance and results of the Global Individual Health & SME Direct sales teams.

The highly visible role will be responsible for managing 4 Sales Team Managers across a large and expanding sales team of over 35 staff. Building on an already successful sales channel, this role will be expected to continue to drive aggressive growth by maximizing opportunities and increasing efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, vision, and management to the Direct Sales functions

• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets for all distribution channels by strategically optimizing sales performance and revenue growth

• Create and deliver new vision and culture within the Glasgow sales organization

• Continuous coaching of management team to improve performance

• Create and develop action plans for team managers to improve performance and skillset

• Carry out weekly 1:1’s with sales managers

• Keeping up to date with products and competitors

• Identify trends, determining ways to improve performance, develop action plans and execute on improvement strategies

• Create initiatives and strategies for operational improvement

• Partnering with Sales Intelligence and Sales Excellence team to ensure data driven decisions are made as well as continuous regulatory and compliance improvements

• Working across the organization to challenge thinking and identify best practice across all sites

• Enhancing and embedding a comprehensive compliance led sales culture

• Provide dynamic recommendations and updates to the SLT on maximizing opportunities for meeting customer demand and sales goals

• Provide regular sales updates to key stakeholders within the business on performance and strategy

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to work closely with key stakeholders at all levels up to and including senior executive team

• Ability to negotiate and communicate across the organization

• Proven track record of delivering results for business improvement initiatives

• Enthusiasm and proactive personality

• Understanding of data and driving data decisions and the ability to develop strong strategic recommendations as outputs

• Understanding of end to end sales role

• Ability and awareness to identify sales trends

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Experience in leading sales teams

• Ability to lead and improve sales teams

• Experience in strategy development and implementation

• Experience in operation performance improvement
