A newly created role to head a small team responsible for the overall monitoring and reporting on procurement and supplier management delivery to ensure all requirements for the business are met through the deployment of best practice processes. Implementing ERP and research tools most appropriate to the business will be an ongoing project as will ensuring reporting is standardised and effective.

Key responsibilities include: Responsible for ensuring the governance position and procurement performance including issue and risk management. Also supporting the department to deliver agreed strategic outcomes by monitoring and reporting on targets and procurement KPIs. Identifying training requirements and implementing, applying and enforcing process compliance, including public procurement and other applicable regulations throughout the function. Work proactively to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the role of Procurement including ensuring process requirements are met within the supplier on-boarding and P2P process.

The Person: Strong experience of monitoring and administering governance and reporting processes including redevelopment and enhancements and a significant amount of this experience will have been gained working within public procurement regulated and Government Framework procurement processes. Clearly strong communication and influencing skills will be need for this critical role.
