​​A newly created role in one of the UK’s largest Insurance brokers, the scale of growth now requires further support through the design of a monitoring programme to cover UK & Ireland. We are seeking a strong Head of to lead and deliver best practice to this high profile, well reputed group.

Key responsibilities:

  • To provide compliance oversight and leadership across the UK&I structure, supporting the business in maintaining compliance with the requirements of industry and government lead regulation, within a framework of business efficiency

  • To deliver a robust monitoring framework that provides assurance to the Board and Senior Management Team and to deliver a programme of monitoring activities across systems and controls and conduct of business that will identify that the firm meets its regulatory requirements or, if there are identified improvements to deliver recommendations for business change

  • To manage and oversee the Compliance Monitoring Team, collaborating with and drawing on resource from the wider Group UK&I Compliance Team as appropriate

  • Design and delivers robust monitoring frameworks, methodologies and programmes

  • Manages assigned projects and contributes to other projects as required

  • Provides relevant and timely management information to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Senior Management

  • To contribute to the UK&I Compliance Plan

  • To work with senior operational management to ensure that compliance systems and controls remain appropriate

  • Works with the Risk Management Function to deliver support in relation to regulatory risk

Skills / Experience required:

  • Strong knowledge of FCA requirements specifically relating to health, benefits and life products within both ICOBs and COBs

  • Good knowledge of FCA requirements in relation to investment, pension and mortgage products

  • Strong experience of developing monitoring frameworks using a variety of desk based and field based tools

  • Leading a compliance team

  • Working with Board level management

  • Strong regulatory focus

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
