This is a key role responsible for delivering fraud prevention strategy for the business

Responsibilities;

  • Manage investigations of potentially fraudulent activity across all business lines.

  • Support and deliver operational improvements in monitoring activity.

  • Work with IT to review and develop Continuous improvement of alert management algorithms in line with best practice to benefit more efficient and thorough monitoring.

  • Responsible for the management, training, compliance, and succession planning within the Fraud Team.

  • BAU management of Fraud Team KPI’s

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

  • Produce regular management information for reporting on group fraud incidents, potential fraud risks and fraud prevention. Reports to be presented to senior management.

  • Maintain and strengthen the relationship with credit to ensure an effective reporting model for application fraud.

  • Management of the Fraud Risk Assessment in line with the Head of Compliance Financial Crime Risk assessment.

    • Ensure this is embedded and managed within Group culture

  • Manage Fraud risk through maintaining and updating of all Group related documents:

    • Fraud Policy

    • Fraud Emergency / Emerging issue response plan

    • Data vault of fraudulent applications – for group access to prevent cross product fraud

    • Lesson’s log

  • Work with Learning & Development teams to design and implement appropriate fraud education, learning and communication for employees.

  • Maintain an effective reporting model for application fraud across all Group divisions.

  • Develop company fraud forums designed to share data, best practice, and training.

Experience Required;

  • Minimum of 3 years in fraud prevention in the payment industry.

  • Strong investigative skills based.

  • Ability to lead and mange a working group from remote locations.

  • Accurate report development and distribution.

  • Accurate data management and analysis.

  • Implementation and maintenance of an efficient management system.

  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships national and international.

  • Good communication skills at all levels.
