A Head Financial Crime Advisory is required for leading investment bank. They are looking for an experienced financial crime senior to optimise and run their financial crime function.
Responsibilities of the Head of Financial Crime:
Leading and managing a team of Financial Crime specialists handling complex and high-risk clients, ensuring the function is running optimally
Keeping the business up to date with financial crime issues
Developing and implementing a risk and control governance framework and strategy
Be an SME for clients on topics including anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, and sanctions under UK regulations.
Ensuring that the team’s structure, capabilities and processes support the teams remit, designing procedures and practices where appropriate - aligning with industry practice and regulatory expectations
Supporting the evolution of the firms first and second line Financial Crime functions, including the design and execution of MI to support second line oversight
Assisting the MLRO in performing MLRO-related duties
Leading the collation and drafting of internal Financial Crime reporting
Ideal Candidates will have:
8+ years relevant work experience, including time in an advisory role at CIB / Capital Markets
Proven leadership experience within a financial crime setting, managing teams
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Effective networking skills to identify and build sources and contacts
Able to understand business needs and relate them to financial crime issues
CAMS, ICA, CFE or similar certifications
