MERJE are currently supporting a leading UK regulatory consultancy who are looking to bring in a senior level sales specialist to support the design and delivery of consultancy services to the discretionary management and wealth management sectors, in order to enhance their range of services and influence in the financial services sector.


As one of the senior team, you will be responsible for:


  • Promoting the discretionary management services to the wealth sector.
  • Promoting services generally and acquire new business
  • Providing an account management function to discretionary and wealth clients.
  • Investigating, identifying and developing strategies around new market opportunities to develop wealth management consultancy services
  • Working with the DIM compliance team and Sales team on the planning and implementation of new services and initiatives
  • Liaising with and providing assistance to other departments as necessary
  • Providing a prompt and professional level of service consistent with the wider business




  • Identify new markets, services and enhancements for the business to bring to market
  • Developing and reviewing business plans put forward to the Head of DIM services
  • Deliver fee based support to firms under an appropriate contract for services
  • Introduce firms to other departments or individuals within the business for provision of services wherever possible
  • Maintain the firm’s reputation as knowledgeable and professional in all areas of financial and business planning
  • Provide reports and commentary on business areas as requested by the Head of DIM services
  • Represents the firm at relevant industry and media events and briefings





  • 5 years’ successful experience delivering consultancy services
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the investment management sector
  • Ability to manage and deliver workshops including presenting, leading discussions and exercises, one-to-one instruction, coaching and process interventions
  • Credible speaker on wealth management business issues
  • Relevant knowledge of regulatory framework and regulatory changes within SMCR and discretionary investment management
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be a team player
  • Experience of managing a team – not essential
  • You will need to be flexible, hands-on and willing to tackle a broad range of matters, which may be outside your main areas of expertise
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Entrepreneurial mind set and ‘can do’ attitude
