Responsibilities:
Reporting directly into the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), establish and maintain an effective Regulatory & Conduct Risk management framework throughout the Group in accordance with regulatory and legislative requirements (e.g. FCA and guidance. To proactively establish compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the business, constructively challenge the business and oversee the assurance program.
Act as the Group’s Subject Matter Expert for the establishment, maintenance and oversight of an effective regulatory and conduct risk management framework that meets the requirements of all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements and guidance
Responsible for the development,implementation and oversight of the effective embedding of the Group’s Regulatory Risk Policy, Conduct Risk Policy and other related policies. Responsible for the maintenance of those Policies, to ensure that they align to changes in regulatory/legislative requirements and guidance
Responsible for ensuring adequate resource to discharge compliance duties
Responsible for ensuring that an effective training and support framework in relation to regulatory and conduct risk management is established and maintained throughout the Group
Responsible for ensuring that effective regulatory risk management systems and technology are established and maintained throughout the Group to ensure effective and efficient regulatory and conduct risk management
Skills:
Ability to manage Compliance resulting in the best outcome for the Society understanding the totality of any situation whist adhering to all regulatory requirements
Excellent stakeholder management
Excellence in verbal and written communication - write and deliver concise meaningful reports
Proactive not reactive with respect to Compliance issues
