The Head of Indirect Categories will deliver all Procurement across the business in line with category strategies and will enable effective supplier management. You will contribute to the overall strategy for Procurement whilst providing coaching, guidance and support to the category teams as required.
Key responsibilities include: The successful applicant will act as a key advisor on all Procurement matters to senior stakeholders and interact with internal stakeholders up to Board Level. There will be the requirement to ensure all procurement processes are compliant to both company process but also public procurement regulations. Delivering a strategic approach and leading commercial discussions will be a part of the everyday role.
The Person: The successful individual will have proven experience of leading and developing commercial and procurement teams in large and complex organisations. The procurement function is going through a significant transformation process and so evidence of driving and successfully implementing large scale changes in ways of working within a commercial function. Clearly senior stakeholder engagement and significant managerial experience will also be needed. The individual should be MCIPS or equivalent qualified and your career to date should entail working across PCR 2015 and OJEU processes.
