The Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Audit to oversee the internal audit function, ensuring compliance with both industry regulations and best practices. This role provides a competitive salary and flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement robust audit policies and procedures
Lead and manage the internal audit team
Provide strategic guidance to other departments on audit-related issues
Effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management
Identify and assess potential audit risks, ensuring timely mitigation
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Professional qualification in auditing or accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Significant experience in audit management, ideally within the banking sector
Strong understanding of audit standards, regulations, and financial services compliance
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
