Our Exclusive Client, an internationally recognised Pan European Leisure Organisation, with ambitious plans is looking for a Group Head of Risk and Governance. Reporting to Group Compliance and Legal Director this role has overall responsibility for managing all aspects of Risk, Compliance and corporate secretarial governance across the Group.

Key responsibilities include

  • Assessment and management of the risk across the group, ensuring the maintenance of strong corporate governance, legal compliance and robust contingency planning
  • Embedding of best practice throughout the organisation in the assessment, understanding and documentation of operational policies, management controls and monitoring and managing risk
  • Development of a risk management dashboard/ MI pack for reporting to Executive team
  • Lead the approach to compliance (including but not limited to whistle-blowing, ethics and bribery, competition law, operational and corporate regulatory compliance)
  • Execute sharing best practice and alignment of approach
  • Development and delivery of group wide approach to Company secretarial requirements (including but not ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory requirements such as preparation and review of minutes and papers, meeting logistics, regulatory/statutory filings, annual reports) and delivery of appropriate board governance

Key skills required to succeed in the role include

  • A proven track record in risk management, compliance and corporate governance in an international environment
  • Commercially focused, confident, self-motivated and friendly team player with initiative, resourcefulness and exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent all round communication skills including the capability to develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other colleagues and stakeholders across international borders
