​MERJE are delighted to be working with a FTSE 100 financial services company, looking for a Funding and Planning Analyst. Reporting into the Head of Funding and Financial Planning, you will be part of a dynamic finance team at a very exciting time.This role will be responsible for supporting in finance-centric activity around funding and planning, but also play an important role in supporting the wider business in achieving its growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities as Funding and Planning Analyst:

• Supporting annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles

• Provide accurate and timely analysis of financial information

• Coordinating funding projects

• Business partnering – building great relationships with stakeholders throughout the business

• Support delivery of financial plans through timely and accurate analysis

• Reporting and highlighting trends

• Analysing causes of unexpected variances

• Drive continuous improvement with the finance team.

• Regularly influencing and presenting key findings from financial analysis to senior finance management

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Experience within a finance function is desirable (advantageous if financial services), either within management reporting or a planning and analysis role. Proven numerical and accounting experience, being a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable An advanced user of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to comfortably build and operate complex financial models. Experience of using analysis and insight to drive business decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences and a desire to work within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
