Our clients are one of the leading major retail banks in the United Kingdom. They are looking to recruit a Fraud Intelligence Analyst, on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for completing complex desktop research reports, reviewing, and analysing fraudulent claims/policies and managing fraud operations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Management of a fraud intelligence referrals from various sources, both internal and external. Adhering to dissemination instructions, the National Intelligence Model, company, and regulatory policies, including data input, quality, retention, and disposal.

• Undertake desktop investigations on suspect claims and policies and produce comprehensive, court compliant intelligence profiles.

• Identify and refer suspect claims and polices to relevant teams using fraud databases and analytics tools.

• Management and disruption of opportunistic and organised fraud through colleague and industry collaboration.

• Monitoring current and emerging threats and providing education and outreach to internal colleagues to drive up fraud identification.

• Producing witness statements and providing evidence in court where necessary.

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market fraud threats and counter fraud activities specific to intelligence and related fraud, financial crime, and legislative changes.

• Submit Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary to the MLRO.

• Analysis of fraud threats using multiple datasets, systems, and tools.

• Build and Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as, Claims and Underwriting colleagues, the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) and Insurance Fraud Investigators Group (IFIG).

Key Skills & Experience:

• Fraud intelligence handling in the general insurance environment

• Undertaking research and writing reports

• Motor insurance claims and policy experience

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Negotiation and influencing skills

• Good time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to resolving problems

• Awareness of the National Intelligence model

• Good understanding of relevant fraud-related legislation

• Excellent knowledge of FCA requirements and the regulatory framework relating to general insurance

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic

• Passionate about reducing the business exposure to fraud risk
