​Our client is a leading accountancy and business advisory firm.

We are assisting in the search for a Financial Crime Assistant Manager. Your key responsibility will be to support the team’s non-financial services lead, including supporting client engagements across a portfolio of clients and delivering high quality work.

In addition, you will play a key role in assisting the partners and directors to further develop the advisory team

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain good working relationships with all clients and colleagues

• Assist in business development opportunities, including developing proposals and supporting pitches, taking the lead as needed on discrete elements/workstreams

• Support financial crime reviews, from planning to preparation of reports, and have direct involvement in complex or high-profile areas

• Coaching and oversight of more junior team members

• Raise issues as they arise with the internal team and supporting client management responsibilities using proactive risk management

• Support realising opportunities through marketing, training and development of methodologies

Role Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in the delivery of Regulator commissioned (including Section 166 Skilled Person Reviews) reports

• Functional knowledge of the UK and European financial crime regulatory environment (with knowledge of the global environment an advantage)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner

• Experience of working with Regulatory bodies such as the FCA, Gambling Commission and/or HMRC

• Technical knowledge of various financial products and / or customer-facing regulated activities

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to take the lead on discrete initiatives under supervision
