MERJE are partnered with a well established and growing Financial Services business in their search for their first Procurement Manager. In this newly created role you will be reporting to the COO. You will improve the procurement life cycle, educate throughout the business and be the face of Procurement for the business.
The Procurement Manager leads the Group Procurement team and is responsible for ensuring that best value is derived from its external expenditure on goods and services (across multiple categories) and delivers its cost savings targets.
Our Ideal Candidate:
•Strong procurement-related skills set (including sourcing, supplier management and supply market analysis). IT and cross category experience desirable.
•Specialist procurement and supply market knowledge and able to articulate strategic imperatives associated with business strategy.
•Knowledge and experience of initiating, developing and executing market-leading procurement plans and processes.
•Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and key suppliers.
•Ability to review and analyse key external trends and influences to ensure that a wide range of information is used to support the development of strategy in line with the planned overall business direction.
•Strong negotiation skills.
•Strong due diligence skills and experience.
•Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
•Ability to constructively challenge where appropriate.
