MERJE are partnered with an award winning national personal investment business. The role of Financial Controller is a newly created opportunity within the Firm and would suit a talented qualified accountant looking to join a business within which they can grow professionally and develop quickly.

Your new Role:

You will oversee the Finance teams, ensuring the completion of relevant tasks, including:

• Monthly Management Accounts;

• Annual Financial Statements and related estimates and judgements;

• Regulatory reporting, including daily client money calculation;

• Tax compliance;

• Payroll;

• Regulatory reconciliations;

• Developing forecasts and budgets to assist and improve cost control.

• Manage the Firm’s cash flow.

• Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth completion of annual audit.

• Maintain and review accounting system to ensure integrity of accounting information.

• Monitor changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements and how they are applied to the firm.

• Ensure Finance and related risks and managed on an on-going basis

• Report to the Director of Finance with timely and accurate financial information

• Assist Director of Finance with presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members

• Update internal working documents to ensure compliance with FCA requirements, including but not limited to the Branch manual, code of Conduct and T&C Framework.
