My client, a progressive, financial secure organisation is looking to add a strategically minded Accountant to their Capital Planning and Reporting Department.

Collaborating with our Risk and Finance Departments and feeding directly into the wider business strategy, you will prepare accurate internal and external capital and regulatory reporting information.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking exposure to a strategically important business area.

Each month you will be required to support the planning and preparation of a number of pieces of work, these include; the regulatory returns for submission to the regulators; monthly management information, which details current and forecast capital and leverage positions and statutory reporting in the annual report and the half year statement.

You will also support the preparation of stress and scenario testing, recovery and resolution planning and Pillar 3 disclosures. To help support your work within the team it is important that you keep up to date with current, new and emerging prudential regulation ensuring that all policies, procedures and practises comply and present best practise.

Supporting the production of the ICAAP will also form a key part of this role, informing risk appetite, strategy and ongoing risk management. You will proactively produce and analyse data to add value from a variety of sources and prepare relevant recommendations to aid decision making.

We are looking for someone with an analytical and strategic mind-set with the ability to interpret and manipulate various sources of data. You will have a strong understanding of process and controls with the ability to organise work towards tight deadlines. Attention to detail is essential as you will have to make sure all your work is accurate.

You will have experience in finance and will hold a professional qualification such as; ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
