MERJE have requirement for a talented Financial Accountant to join our Clients team.

Reporting to the CFO – this is a vital position that will support significant business decisioning, and will also have input into the strategic direction and growth of their business.

Our  Ideal candidate:

As well as being a technical SME in Accounting & Finance, you will have significant Acquisitions Accounting experience and also ideally Audit

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified as a minimum

M&A experience would be advantageous.

Expert level user of Excel for the creation of complex spreadsheets and for the analysis of data.

Highly organised, with the ability to coordinate a number of projects successfully

Excellent communication, verbal and written with extremely high levels of accuracy

Experience in an SME / high growth environment

You will be ambitious with the self motivation to continuously develop.

Ideally you will have managed teams both face to face and remotely.

Your new role:

Acquisition Accounting

Establishing and improving upon financial controls and processes

Business partnering with key senior stakeholders and nonfinance personnel across the business

Primary ownership of stat accounts, audit and tax

Technical SME to the CFO

Supporting the successful integration of newly acquired businesses

Supporting other projects to completion
