Our Client is an award winning leading name across the Property Sector with an outstanding track record of developing employees

They are seeking to recruit a candidate of suitable calibre to assume the position of Finance Director for one of their brand new operating divisions

Working very closely with the Divisional Managing Director in a business-partnering capacity and a key member of the divisional board your responsibilities will be wide and varied and will include:

• Ensuring full updates on financial results and forecasts;

• Ensure Board members fully aware of policies and procedures;

• Provide financial analysis and impact of divisional business decisions

• Full participation in decision making;

• Manage and develop the Finance Team

• Significant interaction with other Departments to facilitate the efficient operation of the Division and accurate and timely reporting of information

• Responsibility for ensuring Land packs submitted for approval accurately reflect the proposed acquisition and have been comprehensively reviewed by the Management Team

• Ensure compliance to Group Policies and Procedures, statutory and relevant legislation

• Ensure timely and accurate information for Group requirements, including Budgets/Forecasts and 3YP; Actual results

• Ensure Financial system is kept up to date and is accurate, including AMIS and Homebuilder

• Cost control

• Valuations: Responsibility in conjunction with the Project Director and Commercial Director for the cost control of each development including budgetary management, and active participation in the monthly valuation process including challenge on cost movements.

The successful candidate is likely to have the following:

• Professionally Accountancy qualification with considerable post-qualification experience.

• Experience of working within a Senior Finance position within the Property and Construction Industry

• Experience in management of the budgetary process and cost control

• A self-motivated individual with the tenacity to achieve Divisional targets

• A team leader focused on coaching and developing the Finance Team

• A good communicator able to contribute at all levels

• Ability to challenge at all levels

• Strong commercial awareness

• Ability to work in a challenging and uncompromising environment

Previous demonstrable experience of working in a Senior Finance capacity with, ideally experience of the Property / Construction Industry, but other Industries would also be considered.
