MERJE are supporting a Financial Services Client in their search for a talented Accountant to join their team as a Finance Business partner.

The role of Financial Business Partner is really important. You will be providing high quality financial information within a controlled environment, offering strategic and commercial business support and insight.

In addition, the Finance Business Partner works to ensure that all central finance processes such as month end reporting, planning and forecasting and external reporting are fully supported in a timely manner.

This is a great opportunity to drive change; to identify and deliver a programme of continuous improvement in the processes, control environment, data quality, financial analysis and insight across Auto business division

This role will be based in their Cardiff office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You’ll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.

Your new role:

·         Build strong business relationships with stakeholders across a range of departments and to be a key Finance contact for the Auto division

·         Sourcing relevant data to support continuous development of performance analysis and business insight

·         Support financial input on new product pricing, product reviews, product formulation, assessment of funding and capital requirements and returns, and financial impact of business change programmes.

·         Production of month end and ad-hoc packs to support the reporting of the results of the Auto Division to various stakeholders

Our Ideal Candidate:

·         Confident, proactive self-starter with experience working in similar business partnering roles

·         Commercial and analytically focused in order to deliver high quality support to the Business

·         Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

·         Demonstrate excellent communication with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of seniority within Finance and the Business
