MERJE are partnered with a prominent Legal Services business based in Manchester in their search for a talented Finance Business Partner.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and fast paced Finance function that can offer continued professional development within a dynamic and agile FBP team.

Your new role:

This opportunity is a forward looking finance role dedicated to supporting the Essential Legal Services (ELS) Division, and focuses on 5 key areas:

1) Providing support for the ELS leadership team decision making, by providing support for financials in any business cases for change or investment.

2) Influencing and challenging the colleagues in the ELS team to ensure that they are focussing their efforts on activities that provide the best financial return, whilst still meeting customers needs.

3) Working with the ELS Deputy FD and the Commercial team to develop analysis that enables conversations, analysis and challenge around customer, business unit and product profitability

4) Work with the ELS Finance Director to help understand any risks/opportunities to budget & forecast delivery, plus support on more strategic long term planning and ideas.

5) Ownership of the ELS WIP modelling and valuation, highlighting any risks/opportunities and over seeing recurring caseload audits to ensure constant accuracy.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Advanced Excel skills handling very large data sets

• Experience analysing financial data

• Experience producing financials for commercial and operational business cases

• Proven ability to influence and challenge effectively

• Qualified Accountant (3 year + Post Qual experience)

• Openly encourages the sharing of information, judging when, with whom, and what to communicate, whilst maintaining confidentiality where necessary

• Setting realistic deadlines and putting contingency plans in place if they are likely to miss deadline.

• Organises and prioritises workload appropriately
