More about your role

We’re growing and developing all the time and given the widespread and extensive work we do across the property sector, we require a Director of Risk Management to deliver a coordinated and proactive approach to business risk. You will set a Group risk appetite and work closely with Group Directors and the Senior Leadership Teams of Group businesses to select the best risk management frameworks for their business and ensure that these are implemented effectively. You will look for commercial or operational opportunities available when reviewing risk, identifying and harnessing synergies that can improve our service to clients and customers and increase the financial performance of the Group.

You will be responsible for and, continuously develop, appropriate risk management arrangements ensuring the achievement of Group strategy and business plan. You will provide the Group Board and senior managers with assurance, through the review of operational risk. You will develop and implement a strategic approach to risk management and operational efficiency and improvement across the Group to enable Places for People to leverage its excellent regulatory compliance and risk management and further improve in this area to be more competitive, efficient, effective and profitable.

You will be a credible, engaging leader with experience of culture change through influencing other senior leaders and be able to evidence how you have gained the confidence of Directors. We are looking for someone who is independently minded with the intellect and gravitas to challenge team thinking, the capability to identify and embed best practice, to communicate well, and support colleagues at all levels.

Your collaborative nature will be utilised in building effective working relationships, networks & partnerships across our diverse business.
