Well known, reputable and long established financial services business, located in Liverpool, are looking to hire a Data Records Manager to join their Technology and Change division.  The location is easily commutable from all areas across Merseyside including Warrington, Widnes, Birkenhead, St Helens, Wigan, Ormskirk and Formby.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the management of electronic records
  • Oversee the management of paper-based records
  • Advise on new records management policies, providing a framework to guide staff in the management of their records and use of our records system
  • Establish retention and disposal schedules and implement & monitor across the business
  • Manage the changeover from paper to electronic records management systems
  • Support and provide guidance to the business on the application of procedures to comply with the records & retention policy
  • Ensure retention & deletion of records is in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Design and develop filing systems, business classification schemes and undertake records surveys
  • Work closely with the GDPR analyst to develop rules to support the business in deletion in compliance with the records & retention policy

The Person

  • Experience of record management and destruction (paper and electronic)
  • Practical experience/ knowledge of the GDPR/Data Protection Act
  • Postgraduate qualification in a records, archive and/or information management specialism
  • Strong stakeholder skills to deal with senior colleagues, suppliers and contractors
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to develop an understanding of how our organisation works and build integrated records systems
  • Good management and organisational skills
  • A good understanding of new technology and systems to improve record management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in financial services
