​Our client is a highly reputable financial services business that are hiring a Data Protection Manager to co-ordinate, embed and monitor data protection and privacy compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous data protection improvements and challenge existing processes and procedures to meet regulatory standards.

• Support the review and updating of Records of Processing Activity (ROPA’s), retention schedules, Subject Access Requests (SAR’s) and Data Privacy Impact Assessment.

• Perform regular monitoring and updates of the GDPR compliance framework.

• Co-ordinate SAR’s and Right to Erasure requests on behalf of the business and maintain appropriate records.

• Member of the GDPR steering group, providing support to data owners when required.

• Prepare reports to provide regular updates, highlight issues and distribute reports to the relevant people.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a data protection role, with a robust understanding of the core elements of data protection regulation and the interface with digital and logical security.

• Experience developing, documenting and assisting with continuous improvement.

• Certified GDPR Practitioner/Foundation level is preferable.
