This is an exciting opportunity for a Credit Risk Analyst to join the growing Credit Risk Acquisition function of this organisation. The department is responsible for the management of the company’s policies surrounding lending, affordability and creditworthiness, and fraud prevention.

The role will require the successful candidate to be involved with the decision engine, lending policy rules and credit reference agency data. There will be opportunities to assist the team with the configuration of new product/system integrations to continuously enhance the company’s acquisition strategy.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the Credit Risk and MI Manager with the development, management and monitoring of new acquisition strategies

• Performing detailed and well documented analysis to support the development of strategies, policies and processes.

• Developing and maintaining the Affordability and Creditworthiness policy to ensure that SMF operates in line with regulation and external macroeconomic changes.

• Assist in the continued development of SMF’s fraud prevention and detection strategies so that the onboarding process is efficient whilst also mitigating fraud loss.

• Undertaking detailed and potentially complex projects that require new product/system integrations and decision engine configuration.

Key Experience Required:

• Analytically minded.

• Knowledge and practical experience of any MI/analytical development tools such as SAS EG, SAS VA, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R etc.

• Highly proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel & PowerPoint.

• Methodical approach to investigation but with the ability to see and think outside the box when required, can see “the bigger picture”.

• Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
