A Corporate Administrator is required for a leading offshore Law Firm based in Jersey. The Corporate Administrator will report to the Head of Risk and Compliance for Jersey & Bermuda, with principal administration duties including:

Reservation of Company Names, Incorporations and Formations

• Manage referrals from Partners and fee earners, ensuring effective service is provided in a timely manner

• Reserve available name(s) with JFSC Registry or assist with alternatives

• Obtain and review CDD from prospective clients

• Complete on-boarding and other required checks prior to opening new matters

• Tasks to include incorporation questionnaire, appointing Directors and Members, preparing stock transfer forms, completing Mem and Arts, resolving queries and ensuring all documentation is completed to an acceptable standard

• Responsible for ensuring documentation reaches the JFSC via MyRegistry portal in a timely manner

• Assist in the provision of data for the annual National Risk Assessments

Company Secretarial / Administration Services provided

• Review all cases on a regular rolling basis as required

• Maintain a database of all current and past Directorships, Trusteeships, Company, Secretarial Services and Administration Services provided

• Prepare documentation for annual and periodic reviews of all client entities to which services are provided for review and sign-off by the matter partner and Head of Risk & Compliance

• Follow up on reviews to ensure that relevant sign-offs are obtained and recorded

• Inform compliance of any failure to meet required standards and incomplete reviews


• Prepare timely reports for the Board and other Committees as required

• Respond to requests for periodic and urgent reports, e.g. for PI insurance renewal and ahead of JFSC reviews, inspections, or questionnaires

• Maintain the firms control spreadsheets and management information

• Update 5Series with information as and when received

Other relevant duties

• Develop, document and maintain end-to-end procedures for all formation / company administration processes, in accordance with company and regulatory requirements using an agreed template

• Other projects to develop and improve procedures as required, including the adoption and integration of new systems

• Other relevant ad hoc duties and tasks as required
