An established leader in consumer finance is looking to appoint a hands-on Risk Reporting Specialist to support the Conduct and Operational teams with various tasks, including the running of key risk committees, reporting conduct risk metrics and assisting with risk monitoring/testing across the business.
 
Awarded for their collaborative work culture, they have an atmosphere where everyone gets involved to provide optimal services and products to their customers.
 
You will be sitting in the 1st line of defense and on any given day, you might:
• Collate conduct risk metrics and create report
• Prepare reporting and presentations for senior management and relevant committees
• Contribute to committee pack production
• Assist with the testing/monitoring of controls to identify gaps and weaknesses
• Review adherence to policy and procedures
• Support the maintenance of internal risk and control recording systems
• Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the team as and if required
 
This might be your ideal next move if you have:
• Previous experience in collation of data/MI
• Knowledge of the financial services industry and relevant regulations and practices
• Strong verbal and written language skills and a structured and organised approach to work
• An ability to work autonomously to analyse and articulate key requirements
• An understanding of the way processes work and how controls can influence the effective management of risk within the business environment
• Intermediate or advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
 
Although not a requirement, it would be desirable if you also have:
• An understanding of FCA and legal requirements related to consumer finance
• Strong product knowledge around the unsecured retail credit industry and relevant risk management, regulation and practices
• An understanding of Conduct Risk
They will be looking for someone who:
• Is an excellent communicator who operates with high levels of integrity
• Can build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of seniority
• Has the ability to identify and assess risks and control gaps and quickly decide on a solution
