Job Description

Our client is a rapidly growing specialist Bank who are recruiting a Conduct & Compliance Manager on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide direct support to the Head of Conduct and Compliance in ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and key activities consistent with the Bank's operating model and helps raise professional standards across the business.

 

Role Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Conduct & Compliance with management of all compliance and risk control framework activities across the Bank.

Support the Senior Compliance Advisory Manager with horizon scanning activities (external and internal), ensuring that all legislative and regulatory changes are identified, with appropriate actions implemented in a proportionate and timely manner.

Support the Senior Compliance Advisory Manager with the preparation of consultation responses and providing assurance on the accuracy of regulatory returns.

Support the Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager in implementation of the respective annual testing and monitoring plans.

Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports in a timely manner detailing key findings, identifying any systemic risk issues and common themes. These should inform, educate, and assist understanding across the business and support committee decisions.

Support the maintenance and timely review of all allocated policies and procedures consistent with risk appetite.

Contribute to the maintenance of the compliance department processes and procedures including Compliance specific policies and regulatory risk universe.

Contribute to the Risk and Controls Assessment for the Compliance function.

Assist in the collation of Compliance management information.

Preparation of Committee packs and contribute to the content of the horizon scanning updates.

Assist in the review and approval of the Bank's financial promotions.

Assist in the delivery of regulatory training and support to colleagues to enable them to understand their regulatory responsibilities.

 

Key Skills & Experience:

Operational knowledge of bank processes and key regulatory/legal issues

Banking technology, payment systems and processes, telephony, etc.

Financial Crime knowledge

General banking experience within a Risk function

Experience of Compliance and AML monitoring

Change Orientation

Analytical and Problem Solving

Communication skills - verbal and written.

Professional Qualification with Financial Services
