​Compliance Officer required for a Private Bank based in London. The role will sit within the Risk & Compliance team, operating in the Second Line of Defence, and reporting to the Head of Compliance. The individual is also expected to provide compliance advice and training to relevant teams across the bank.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor the regulatory horizon for impacts on all aspects of the bank’s business. Provide timely assessment of the potential impact on the bank’s strategy and operations

•Work with the Senior Advisory Officer and business owners to assess the relevance of new or changing FCA regulation in respect of the bank’s business model

•Track, record and disseminate PRA and FCA regulatory requirements, and assist, where appropriate on assessing the relevance to the bank

•Support the Senior Compliance Advisory Officer to provide advisory services to the business, such as application of the PRA Rulebook, FCA Handbook (especially BCOB, CONC, MCOB) and related UK law and regulation

•Support Senior Managers and the Head of Compliance with FCA and PRA engagement, including regulatory visits, returns, notifications and responses to consultations and ad-hoc requests

What you will bring to the role:

•An ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, by building effective, collaborative relationships

•An ability to apply sound, independent judgement in assessing the regulatory landscape and publications

•Leadership skills, including supporting and coaching the personal development of others (whether within the direct team or elsewhere in the bank)

•Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Necessary experience or qualifications

•Working knowledge of FCA and PRA regulation, with particular focus on banking, mortgages and payments regulations

•Experience of dealing with the regulation of a retail or High Net Worth customer base

•Demonstrable experience of effective communication with all levels of stakeholder

•A relevant industry qualification is preferable

•Relevant experience in banking or compliance, preferably in a private banking environment
