Job Description

We are working with a leading Financial Services organisation that offer a range of residential mortgage options to Channel Island residents.

The position sits within the compliance function, and specifically contributes to the effective operation of the function. The role holder will play a key role in assisting on all aspects of the Compliance Monitoring Programme, including ongoing customer risk reviews and management of communication and correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

To keep up to date and provide advisory services to employees on Compliance, Regulatory (GFSC and JFSC Handbooks) and AML/CTF issues.

To assist with all aspects of the Compliance Monitoring Programme

To assist with compliance issues arising from customer communications

To review marketing material to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Ensure that all day-to-day compliance related tasks are completed on the system, in an accurate and timely manner.

Assist with the maintenance of compliance management policies, procedures and processes designed to identify, monitor, and manage the regulatory compliance requirements.

Assist with the monitoring of Regulator websites for relevant information that may affect the firm.

Identify potential changes to compliance and data protection regulations and ensure the firm always remains compliant.

Prepare management information to be delivered to senior colleagues and undertake projects, as requested by your Line Manager.

Prepare management information to be delivered to MC and Board, as required.

Always comply with data / computer security in line with procedures.

Comply with all relevant additional policies that apply to this role.

Skills & Experience:

Experience of working in a Financial Services Compliance environment

Use of Microsoft Office Packages

Knowledge of Financial services regulation, ideally within relevant markets

Experience of using sanctions monitoring tools and other Compliance related computer software

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships both within the company and the wider business environment to achieve objectives.

Problem solving and decision-making skills based on sometimes limited information.

Ability to quickly analyse and interpret different sources of information.

Resilience and conviction - Able to stand by difficult decisions under pressure.
