Overview

Financial Services business with products across savings, lending and asset management are looking to hire an experienced Compliance Monitoring Manager to join a small but experienced and established Compliance function.  The company offer a hybrid working policy, and benefits include 10% pension, 10% annual bonus, private medical and 30 days holiday.

Role Purpose:

The role holder will assist in the development and maintenance of a strong governance framework for Compliance and take ownership and responsibility for the Compliance Monitoring framework, associated documents shape the monitoring plan, and manage the day to day execution and completion of the monitoring plan.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Framework and Standards.

Develop and maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP), and ensure this remains reflective of the key compliance and financial crime risks associated with the Bank's:

Ensure key internal and external considerations are included in the development of the CMP such as the annual FCA Business Plan, FCA Thematic reviews, Horizon Scanning, Industry Hot topics and internal audit action points, complaint trends and the Banks internal Risk Register.

Act as the compliance monitoring business partner.

Support other members of the Compliance team in the delivery of their objectives.

Assist and co-operate with internal and external auditors.

 

Experience Required:

Experience in creating risk-based monitoring plans and the planning, execution and documenting of compliance reviews is essential.

Strong understanding of UK banking regulation and handbooks

Strong inter-personal and communication skills that facilitate open working relationships with staff at all levels in the business

People management skills
