​Our client is an award winning Bank who have enjoyed significant growth and success in recent years. An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the firm in the role of Compliance Manager. In this role you will be expected to support the business with strategic initiatives engaging with colleagues to excel in their understanding and interpretation of regulatory compliance matters. You will provide advice and guidance on regulatory compliance matters, supporting business stakeholders and the wider Risk team.

Responsibilities of the job include:

•Supporting the Compliance leadership team, by providing day-to-day advice and guidance on regulatory compliance matters across the Group

•Developing and educating others within the team and within First Line on Customer and Conduct Compliance matters and being able to translate complex regulations into comprehensible and clear advice and guidance.

•Demonstrating a deep understanding of product governance and the relevant regulatory sourcebooks (MCOB/ICOB/CONC/BCOBS).

•Working closely with key stakeholders to implement regulatory risk best practice and develop first line knowledge.

•Lead oversight of annual product reviews, adequacy and effectiveness of compliance owned policies, deep dives, risk events, and provide specialist support and challenge to enhance rigour.

•Overseeing and challenging whether there are effective systems & controls in place within (but not limited to) Product Governance; Marketing & Financial Promotions; Training & Competency; Remuneration; Product Design/Changes.

•Monitor material Risk Events ensuring appropriate remedial work is undertaken by first line business areas and tracked to conclusion.

•Ensure that regulatory risks, new and existing, are considered in relation to product launches and changes to ensure effective product governance/management and the achievement of good outcomes for the customer, business, and client.

Requirements:

•3-5 years’ demonstrable experience working within a second line compliance function of a Bank, Building Society, Consumer Credit Firm or notable Consultancy firm

•Demonstrated ability to lead, support and motivate a compliance team.

•Exceptional technical knowledge and understanding of FCA product-based sourcebooks (MCOBS, ICOBS, BCOBS, CONC, SYSC).

•Deep knowledge of key Compliance and Conduct regulatory risk topics such as Consumer Duty, Vulnerable Customers, and SMCR.

•Experience of working in second line compliance function and SME compliance experience gained in a relevant field.

•Demonstrated ability to provide robust challenge and support to senior management teams.
