The primary purpose of this role will be to oversee the Compliance function within the Company, ensuring full 
compliance with the FCA regulations and to keep up to date on upcoming changes.  This role will manage the 
day to day compliance function and three team members.
Key responsibilities include:
• Provide advice and guidance to all areas of the business around compliance related issues
• Ensure the group policies are implemented and embedded in the business
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all areas of the business
• Co-odinating, undertaking and reporting the results of compliance oversight activities
• Maintaining, monitoring and executing the compliance plan
• Providing expert opinion and support on compliance matters
• AML reviews and audits
• Maintain the Financial Crime policy, adherence and oversight activities
• Developing and maintain risk and compliance training plans, and monitoring adherence
• Keep up to date with industry knowledge to ensure appropriate competency levels are maintained
• Contribute to the development of compliance procedures by identifying areas of weakness and making suggestions for improvement
• Assist in developing and implementing an effective risk and compliance culture throughout the Company
• Co-ordinate and respond to compliance queries received from the business
• Responsible for a team of Compliance Officers, working with first line of defence for compliance and QA functions
• Managing the risk management framework and register
The Person 
• Experience of developing and maintain compliance structures to promote a risk aware culture that maintains regulatory compliant arrangements
• Previous experience working in a compliance management role in advisory and / or monitoring
• Previous experience in an FCA regulated financial services business with knowledge of FCA rules (CONC, DISP, SYSC) as well as money laundering, data protection etc.
• Quick learner who can interpret and successfully implement regulatory and operational requirements
• Able to simplify the articulation of complex regulatory/risk issues to a wide group of stakeholders, including senior management and external business partners
• Experience of developing and maintaining compliance structures to promote a risk aware culture that maintains regulatory compliant arrangements
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, relationship building and negotiating skills
• Practical and collaborative approach
• Self-starter
• Confident and comfortable in liaising and giving feedback at all levels including senior management
