By managing the Compliance requirements of the businesses Acquiring Business activity, you will ensure the company is applying with all applicable laws and regulations, as required by that business area.

The role holder will be required to establish and build a strong relationship with all applicable business areas and key stakeholders, ensuring an effective compliance culture is established, whilst remaining true to the entrepreneurial ethos of the company.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the role holder will provide business centric SME guidance (both up and down) and liaise with external stakeholders as required. Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the business is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations for all applicable products/services and jurisdictions
  • Develop and maintain policies governing the regulatory and card scheme requirements for the business area
  • Management of compliance monitoring activities for the business area
  • Act as a Deputy MLRO, backing up the MLRO when unavailable for all suspicious activity and assisting with the comprisal of the Group MLRO report
  • Act as the first point of contact for Compliance related enquiries, providing sound judgement and knowledge in a fast paced and challenging environment

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulations – particularly within Payments
  • Electronic Money Regulation experience – knowledge of E-Money Institutions and any experience of working in one will be highly desirable
  • Knowledge of payments including card acquiring and BIN sponsorship desirable
  • Understanding of PCI DSS obligations – desirable but not essential
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-developing environment essential
  • Ability to effect change and establish an effective compliance culture
