My client is looking for a Collections Specialist to join their Finance team in the London office.
This role is bespoke in utilising and facilitating Exchanging in order to play a key role in the collection of fees through the London Insurance Market.
As an experienced London Market Specialist you will work closely with Client Partners, Insurance brokers, Underwriters and the credit team to take the lead in facilitating and growing the number of clients which are serviced
You will have full overall responsibility for:
•Act as the lead role to review and evaluate the London Market policy information to establish a process for collections in each matter and policy.
•Ensure that a clear collections protocol is in place for clients utilising the exchanging process.
•Work closely with Client Relationship Partners to educate them on the London Markers collection processes.
•Deliver an excellent service in respect of collections, supporting the divisions to reduce aged debts and improve cash collections.
•Ownership of all claims documentation and processes via the Exchanging system.
•Deliver a clear and successful collection process which includes regular monitoring, reporting, query resolution and settlement.
•Act as the key contact with brokers and underwriters operating in the London Market.
•Work alongside the core collections team to identify non Market collections and enable prompt settlement of direct payers.
•Act as the interface between the collections team and cashiering to ensure that right first time allocations are made when settled.
•Manage the relationships with Partners, Brokers & Underwriters to retrieve missing information to enable successful collections through the London Market.

•Excellent understanding of the London Insurance Market, Syndicates and Cover-holder Policies
•Strong inter-personal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally across all levels with Brokers/Underwriters/Stakeholders
•A confident user of Exchanging and Microsoft packages to intermediary level
•Excellent organisational and time management skills in order to meet targets and deadlines
•A flexible approach to working hours
•Detail oriented approach with significant emphasis on achieving a high quality of work
•Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment with the use of initiative and a pro-active attitude.
•Experience of customer management and accounting systems.
