Our client is a well-respected and long standing Financial Services organisation who are looking to recruit a Business Resilience Lead. In this role you will support the implementation of the Group’s Operational/Business Resilience Risk Framework across the Group ensuring it is able to operate within the Groups risk appetite and employing a risk based approach based on the Groups Critical Services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for development and delivery of the Groups Operational/Business Resilience / Taskforce programme deliverables
  • Leads delivery of resilience papers to the Operational/Business Resilience Forum
  • Builds collaborative working relationships across the Group including Transformation and Third Party stakeholders
  • Develops, documents and embeds the Operational/Business Resilience Strategy & Policy 
  • Operates the Operational/Business Resilience Framework for the Group (operating in the context of the Groups enterprise risk framework defined by 2nd line of defence risk function), identifying and defining strategic priorities for Operational/Business Resilience risk management and translating these into plans for implementation
  • Provide specialist expertise, advice, oversight and reporting for all areas of Operational/Business Resilience for the Group aligned to regulatory requirements
  • Member of the Group Incident Management Team as required – supporting the Groups Crisis Management Team as necessary
  • Leads completion of the Operational/Business Resilience RCSA capability across the Group
  • Develops and delivers effective Incident Management & Crisis Management exercising capability
  • Management & development of effective reporting metrics and communications for Group and external stakeholders on the status of the BR Programme including Board, audit and regulatory reporting requirements

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Experienced Operational/Business Resilience (Business Continuity) (BC) Management capability
  • Significant experience of defining BR/BC priorities and translating these into operational and strategic plans
  • Subject matter expertise and implementation of BR/BC approaches
  • Experience of implementation of Operational/Business Resilience frameworks


  • ISO 22301 Lead Auditor / Implementer
  • Knowledge of ISO 22301, BCI GPG’s 2018
  • Knowledge of Operational/Business Resilience Regulation (DP 2018)
