My client is looking for a BDM to work within the Commercial team where you will be responsible for driving New Dealer activations across a number of different industries, within a defined territory, and for managing the commercial relationship in the field with existing customers.
You will own the Sales Pipeline and progress each deal in line with customer expectations and TCF requirements. Working closely with the Industry Leaders, National Client Managers, and internal Commercial Development Manager (CDM) you will be responsible for building deep and long-lasting relationships with the sales teams of our existing vendor partners, and your dealers in your region.
•This role has a primary focus for delivery within a defined territory within the UK.
•Pro-actively manage a database of customers and prospects within the agreed geographical area for specific sectors. Targeted to build solid and long-lasting working relationships, with future opportunities for development.
•Conversion of defined dealer opportunities for dealers in your agreed geographical area, to benefit from approved distributor/manufacturer programs or originated from introducer panels, for Inventory Finance programs.
•The direct origination of bilateral dealer funding opportunities for Inventory Finance (Unit Stocking) within the agreed territories in the UK, within your strike-zone. To include the direct negotiation with customer key decision makers to generate commercially acceptable transactions.
•Managing aspects of individual dealer relationships for customers and prospects within the agreed territory to ensure maximising of opportunities. This includes prospecting, detailing benefits, obtaining financials/non-financial information to support your credit submissions, documentation return, managing credit limit to ensure full business flow, and other activities as required commensurable with managing facilities for lifetime of relationship.
•Support development of business with relation to strategy, competitor activity, product development, system enhancements, geographical expansion and other activities as required
•Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activity and results using CRM and other systems as required and advised from time to time
•Manage personal activity and pipeline to ensure personal targets are achieved.
Skills & Experience
•At least 2 years’ experience in Finance Industry – preferable
•At least 2 years proven sales ability with record of success within a highly competitive sales led organisation – preferable
•Experience working with a CRM system/Sales Management system - preferable
•Willingness to travel and overnight away from home when required/permitted
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Solid demonstrable commercial negotiation skills
•Ability to work within a robust team environment
•Ability to demonstrate ongoing understanding of key business & financial drivers
•Ability to work on own initiative as role is field based
•Ability to manage self in a constantly changing environment
