About the Assistant Manager role
The Assistant Manager will work under the remit of the Customer Service Manager and carry out a range of duties related to the provision of effective and world class service to customers. This role requires strong management, training and mentoring abilities and should have excellent customer service skills with a personal desire to delight each and every customer.
As an Assistant Manager you will support advisors to ensure they have the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to achieve targets and quality standards.
As Senior Customer Service Assistant your day to day tasks will include:
- Takes responsibility for managing a team of Customer Service Advisors
- Ensures that work is managed in an efficient, effective and timely manner
- Ensures that team members are adequately trained so that all required task, both existing and future can be effectively executed
- Ensures Advisers are working within the department’s goals, policies and procedures and when there is a failure this is corrected through training or mentoring
- Pro-actively deals with any employment relation issues in conjunction with the Contact Centre Manager and HR department and in line with company procedures
- Conducts monthly 1-1’s performance meetings with team and holds monthly team meetings to share business knowledge
- Works with other managers across teams to share and implement best practice
