MERJE are partnered with a specialist savings and business finance bank in their search for a talented Assistant Financial Controller.

Your new role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller your will be accountable for:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including supporting schedules
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Revenue analysis:
o Month end yield and income analysis
o Pipeline analysis
• Detailed monthly cost analysis and cost control initiatives
• Partnering with other functions on business projects
• Assist in preparation of financial forecasts
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting in preparation of financial statements
• Supporting Financial Controller on other ad-hoc tasks as necessary
(Other duties may be assigned outside of the following duties and responsibilities)
Our Ideal Candidate:
You will be an approachable, empathetic problem solver, with exemplary communications skills. You will avoid the use of unnecessary jargon and display an adaptable, “can-do” attitude.
Ideally you will have completed your Accountancy Qualification in a Top 10 practice and have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years finance experience
- Financial Services experience preferable
- Strong excel skills
